Cllr Steve Downing
Portfolio Owner - Community Led Plan
Vice Chair – Hadnall Parish Council

Back in 2017, our village created its last Community-Led Plan, a snapshot of what mattered most to the people who live here. Since then, a lot has changed. New neighbours have arrived, priorities have shifted, and village life continues to evolve. So now it’s time to ask the question again: what do we want the future of our village to look like?

We’re launching a new Community-Led Plan, and it starts with you.

A Community-Led Plan is simply a way for residents to come together and shape the direction of the village. What do we value most about living here? What should be protected? What could be improved? From housing and transport to green spaces, facilities and community life, the plan helps capture the real views of the people who call Hadnall home.

Over the coming months, a small group of volunteers will be gathering ideas and opinions from across the village, led by Cllr Steve Downing: ·Pam Stephenson, John Harrison, Laura Tarburton, Alan Brennan, Ella Jones, Lesley Allsop.

There will be surveys and opportunities to share your thoughts, nothing complicated, nothing too time consuming, just a chance for everyone to have their say. We will also be approaching local businesses and community clubs and events and these dates will be published over the coming weeks.

And it really does matter. A strong Community-Led Plan gives the village a louder voice when it comes to future decisions, funding opportunities and conversations with the council. The more people who take part, the more powerful that voice becomes.

So please, when the survey lands on your doorstep, please take a few minutes to fill it in. Whether you’ve lived here for decades or only just arrived, your views count.
